Win clients every Wednesday on LinkedIn
Dec 07, 2024When I started posting on LinkedIn, I thought the secret to success was adding value. I shared tips, insights, and advice every week, thinking, This will bring the leads flooding in.
It didn’t.
Sure, I got engagement - comments, likes - but none of it translated into consistent inbound. I was creating content that was helpful but there wasn’t a queue of people lining up to work with me.
That’s when I started “Win on Wednesday.”
Every Wednesday, without fail, I share a client’s success story. These posts don’t always get the most likes, but make me money because they bring me what matters most - paying clients.
Let me show you how it works.
What’s “Win on Wednesday”?
“Win on Wednesday” is my way of showcasing what I do through the eyes of my clients.
Every week, I post:
- A success story from a client.
- Their specific results (the more tangible, the better).
- Their own words - authenticity beats polished marketing every time (screenshots and direct quotes).
Here's an example
It’s simple, direct, and incredibly effective.
If someone’s debating whether they should work with me, these posts show them exactly what’s possible.
For example, I might post about a coach who came to me struggling to generate leads and walked away closing £20,000 in new business in just three months. I let their story do the talking.
Why It Works
Social proof is the ultimate trust-builder. Here’s why:
-
It’s relatable. When your audience sees someone just like them succeeding, they think, “If it worked for them, it could work for me.”
-
It builds credibility. A testimonial is worth 100 times more than you saying, “I’m great at this.”
-
It converts. These posts are for people who want to take action, they are often frustrated at how difficult LinkedIn has been for them so far.
How You Can Win on Wednesday Too
Here’s how to make it work for you:
Step 1: Gather success stories.
Look through your emails, WhatsApp, DMs - wherever your clients have sent you positive feedback. It doesn’t have to be a long testimonial; even a quick “thank you” message can work.
Step 2: Match it to your audience.
Choose stories that speak to your ideal client. If you work with consultants, highlight results from other consultants. Keep it relevant.
Step 3: Use their words.
Avoid over-polishing. Let the authenticity come through - it’s more believable and relatable.
Step 4: Post every week.
Pick a day (I use Wednesday) and stick to it. Consistency is what makes this strategy powerful. Without fail, I post a Win on Wednesday.
The Format
My “Win on Wednesday” posts follow a simple structure:
-
The Problem: What challenge was the client facing? - Before working with me, Sarah couldn’t turn engagement into leads.
- The Failed Fix: What had they tried and it's hadn't worked. - Sarah had bought a ton of courses and tried to follow influencers.
-
The Solution: What did you do to help? - We built a system to win clients in 3 hours per week on LinkedIn with Sarah. Here is how we did it...
-
The Result: What happened next? - In three months, she closed £20,000 in new business.
-
The Call to Action: What should your audience do next? - DM me WIN if you want to be my next testimonial.
These posts don’t go viral.
They don’t rack up hundreds of likes or comments. And that’s okay. They’re not designed to.
“Win on Wednesday” works because it connects with the right people - the ones who see the results and think, “I want that too.”
Every time I skip a week, I notice the difference. Leads slow down. The pipeline feels a bit lighter. Consistency is what makes this strategy so effective.
If you’ve been holding back from sharing social proof, start now. You don’t need a perfect testimonial or a polished process. Start with one story, post it next week, and see what happens.
If you've not posted like this before, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner.
Win on Wednesday. Simple. Consistent. Effective.
It works for me, and it can work for you too.
